Grove Street Technologies

Overview

Electricity generation and transmission discards over 71% of fuel energy as waste heat. Residences burn additional fuel for house heating. Combined heat/power (CHP) systems generate electricity locally, and the waste heat is used to heat the home, so only 10% of the fuel energy is discarded. Existing CHP units are prohibitively expensive. Grove Street Technologies has developed a novel, affordable CHP, and has a plan to commercialize it.
