Overview

Agile Devices is a team of radiologists, engineers, and business professionals looking to tackle the problem of microcatheter maneuverability. Agile is looking to commercialize a novel deflectable microcatheter technology in order to reduce procedure times, reduce total cost and improve patient outcomes.

Chief Medical Consultant

Dr. Leo Tsai

Formerly the Chief Resident in Radiology at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), with an MD from Harvard Medical School and a PhD in Biophysics from Harvard, through the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology (HST). Leo has substantial experience with current interventional radiology procedures and the limitations of currently-marketed catheters. He joined the staff at BIDMC in July 2014.

Benjamin Merewitz

MBA, MIT Sloan. Ben has 10+ years experience in high-technology businesses, from investment, consulting, and entrepreneurial perspectives. He worked for PHOTON Consulting covering the solar sector and serving management teams, investors and others. Prior to solar, Ben worked in market intelligence for an agricultural water efficiency start-up, and before that, drove equity research efforts for a metals portfolio team at Wellington Management.

Stephen Tully

25+ years R&D, managing variety of medical device programs concept-commercialization. Recently developed product portfolio for Beacon Endoscopic, sold to Covidien/Medtronic.

Co-founder, Inventor, Engineering Lead

Stephen Hebert

25+ years medical device design, engineering at large/small companies. Founder of 5 medical device companies, inventor or co-inventor on over 120 patents, and started and sold 2 neuro companies to Micrus/J&J.
