Tech coworking hub opens in Downtown Crossing

In the midst of a coworking office boom, with companies like WeWork taking up hundreds of thousands of square feet, new players say they still have a place, as long as they stay focused on specialized services. 

Venture Lane, a new coworking space for technology startups, has opened its doors to the public with a space featuring a floating fireplace, hanging plants, and endless espresso at 55 Court St. in Downtown Crossing. They’re joining the ranks of other collaborative tech offices such as Industry Lab and Impact Hub with opportunities for fresh entrepreneurs to grow their businesses. 

Starting at $500 per month, Venture Lane offers private offices for teams of four to 13 members and a larger open desk space for groups or individual employees. Currently, five companies have established offices at Venture Lane, such as One Way Ventures, an immigrant entrepreneurial group, and the case-management software startup Whispli.
