Overview

Mission Rooted in systemic change, ULink’s mission is to increase college graduation rates by providing access, support, and stronger lines of communication to traditionally underserved community college students and administrators through a longitudinal student tracking platform and a personalized student coaching program. ULink’s integrated end-to-end holistic approach invokes behavioral changes in students that enable them to navigate, understand, and own their destiny. Vision By increasing the community college transfer rate, ULink will increase the number of students graduating from college, whereby providing individuals with meaningful economic and personal prospects, and ultimately create a greater ripple effect on society and the economy.

Phillip Ellison

Phillip is a non-traditional student at Tufts University pursuing a dual Bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies and History with a minor in Entrepreneurial Leadership Studies. At Tufts, Phillip is a Tisch Scholar for Citizenship & Public Service and serves on the Tufts 1+4 Bridge Year of Service Advisory Board.

Business Development

Parisa Esmaili

Deeply committed to increasing social mobility and creating systemic change through education and financial inclusion, Parisa works in Pipeline Development and Capital Prep at Inner City Advisors (ICA), an organization that works with entrepreneurs to create a more equitable and impactful economic ecosystem in the Bay Area. In addition, she is a second-year MBA candidate at the Lokey Graduate School of Business at Mills College.

Jubril Lawal

Being one of seven children and a community college graduate who later matriculated to Tufts University, Jubril knows the importance of being granted an opportunity. Through experiencing, first-hand, the rarity of his good fortune and the social implications that come with it, the idea of ULink was brought to life while matriculating to Tufts.
