HUBWeek Is Returning In September, This Time With a Beer Battle

HUBWeek is further solidifying itself as a tentpole event for Boston's innovation community with the announcement of its 2016 dates. Coming off a successful first year, the festival's organizers—the Boston Globe, Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University and MIT—announced that HUBWeek's second stint will run from Sept. 25 to Oct. 1. And it's bringing a brand new event that will pit local breweries again each other.

The festival's new event, called "Brew the Charles," will call upon what "the most creative local brewers from across Massachusetts to make their finest brew." The beer will be judged by a panel of celebrity judges, and the event will be open to the public.
