Join us for our next Emerging Technology Speaker Series event as we unpack cryptocurrency and what it means to consumers.

UMass Lowell’s Chris Wilkinson, an adjunct professor in political science explores cryptocurrencies and how these new financial mechanisms work. The talk covers the rise, fall and rise again of Bitcoin and alternative-coins as well as why the underlying distributed architecture of cryptographic digital assets are important for everything from medical records to artificial intelligence.

The Innovation Hub Haverhill's Emerging Technology Speaker Series brings UMass Lowell experts to the Haverhill campus for engaging lectures and programs on a variety of new technology related topics.

This series is generously sponsored by Pentucket Bank.

This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments provided.
