Overview

Water Hero was founded in 2014 by Dan Sterling. Dan was inspired by the lack of water related home automation products available to help protect his drafty, old Victorian home which had a history of frozen pipes and leaks. Luckily, the maker movement is alive and well in the Boston area. Dan was able to network with other inventors, tinkerers, dreamers, engineers, techies and visionaries who were prototyping products on 3-D printers and designing new, innovative products that could be controlled by microprocessors like Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Beagle Board and Spark Core.
