Solchroma is building the world's most vivid, sunlight-readable displays for large-area digital signage applications. Our uniquely bright approach to display hardware is the only non-LED digital technology that gives outdoor advertisers the color quality they demand. Roger Diebold

Roger is the co-inventor of core technology who has 9+ years experience in related research areas. He earned a Ph.D. in Materials from UC Santa Barbara and holds a B.S.E. in Mechanical Engineering with Departmental Distinction from Duke University, and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University prior to co-founding Solchroma. Roger has been an author or co-author on 13 academic papers, patents, or patent applications.

Samuel Shian

Sam is the co-inventor of core technology who has 15+ years experience in related research areas. He earned a Ph.D. in Materials Science from Georgia Tech, and holds a masters degree in Materials Science from the Ohio State University. Sam was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Harvard University when he co-founded Solchroma. Sam has been an author or co-author on 29 academic papers, patents, or patent applications.

Matthew Aprea

Matt comes to Solchroma with significant display industry experience, notably building and leading the digital signage business unit while at E Ink. He has multiple entrepreneurial experiences under his belt having multiple roles at robotics and other hardware companies. Matt holds an MBA from Boston College, a MSEE from Virginia Tech, and a BSEE from Tufts University, and co-author on 6 patents or patent applications.
