SmartCells is developing SmartInsulin, a once-a-day, self-regulating, injectable formulation for treating diabetes. It addresses the most significant challenge of diabetes treatment: achieving tight blood glucose control to reduce the ncidence of serious and costly medical complications. SmartInsulin will provide tight blood glucose control because it is designed to release insulin in response to high blood glucose levels.
