Outside Interactive offers patented, forward motion technology called Virtual Runner, designed to help take the boredom out of treadmill running by offering HD videos which can be viewed interactively on a TV, iPad, Android tablet or PC while running on a treadmill. We partner with live marquee endurance events, allowing them to offer an interactive virtual race for global participation, in a whole new paid category that counts.

Gary McNamee

Gary began working on Outside Interactive in September 2010 after experiencing the frustration of training for the Boston Marathon on his treadmill due to New England’s harsh winter conditions. The company incorporated a year later in 2011. Prior to founding Outside Interactive, Gary coached high school track and cross country as well as founding, building and selling 2 other successful companies over 2 decades.
