Remember when we introduced the nominees of the seventh annual NEVY awards?
On Wednesday night, the New England Venture Capital Association unveiled the winners to a packed audience at Boston’s House of Blues. The theme was 007 James Bond, and needless to say, it had a Casino Royalesque atmosphere.
As Jody Rose, president of NEVCA told BostInno earlier, “A lot of investors and companies in the ecosystem use it as an opportunity to celebrate.” And the evening lived up to that promise.
As for the awards, NEVCA does not select the nominees; they are selected by academies consisting of seven to ten investors in different sectors. This year there were three – for health care, life sciences and tech. You can find the full list of investors here. The association works with academy members providing them with the data on companies.
“It is the anti-tradition to award shows, we are about doing things differently,” Rose told BostInno.
