Veterans in Residence, WeWork’s venture accelerator designed around the needs of veteran entrepreneurs, welcomed its inaugural cohort. Ten businesses, based on ideas ranging from career training services to government-contracted drones, make up the group, whose home base is WeWork South Station at 745 Atlantic Ave.
Boston is the coworking company’s 15th Veterans in Residence city, after the initiative was first incubated in Denver in the summer of 2017 and launched nationally on Veterans’ Day in 2017. WeWork partnered with Bunker Labs to create the program.
“We are thrilled to execute and grow this program in Boston, which has a thriving veteran community and startup ecosystem,” Katherine Kostreva, northeast regional executive director for Bunker Labs, said in a statement in November.
