Meet Tuan Ho, CEO at ScholarJet

December 17, 2019

ScholarsJet connects college students/recent grads with internships and entry-level employment through fun and friendly hiring competitions that award scholarships and student loan repayment as prizes.

At the age 10, Tuan Ho immigrated to the US from Vietnam with his mom and brother where they settled in Dorchester. After graduating from Boston Latin Academy, he was accepted into Northeastern, but couldn’t afford the tuition. He wrote over 120 essays to apply for 40 scholarships, and was awarded enough money to attend Northeastern on a full ride where he studied mechanical engineering. Tuan realized that he preferred working with people than machines, and always had a passion in civic engagement. He wanted to help others, and came up with the concept of the ‘action-based scholarship,’ which allowed students the opportunity to showcase their full potential.
