Monday, July 8

How to Use Storytelling for Personal Branding and Career Success: This workshop, hosted by General Assembly Boston, teaches various narrative techniques that can be applied to attendees’ lives or careers. Key takeaways from the event include awareness of individual storytelling techniques, how to craft your own narratives, public speaking advice, and tips to be confident in front of audiences. Podcasting for Beginners: Future podcasters will gather at the Staples Studio at 1660 Soldiers Field Rd. for a class taught by Ina Coveney, host of the Trailblazing OUT of Corporate Life podcast. Attendees will learn podcasting basics, including recording and editing tools. The class runs from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and costs $15.  

Tuesday, July 9

Open Office Hours CIC: Zepher Business Services is hosting open office hours at the Cambridge Innovation Center at 50 Milk St. in Boston, where nothing is off limits. Experts will be there ready to answer your business questions. The event is located on the 15th floor from 1 to 2:30pm. 

Front and Back End Coding 101: If you’ve wanted to try your hand at coding but don’t know where to start, visit General Assembly Boston to learn the basics of frontend and backend from professionals in the industry. The event is at 125 Summer St. from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. A regular ticket to this event is free  

Wednesday, July 10

Free Salary Negotiation Workshop: The Work Smart Boston initiative, created by the American Association of University Women and the Mayor’s Office of Women’s Advancement, is offering a free two-hour workshop. Women will learn about the gender wage gap, identifying personal value, and how to use persuasive language. The event, hosted by the Roxbury Innovation Center, is from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. 

Shape Up: Exploring Tech, Fitness, and Health: At this panel, hosted by General Assembly, a group of innovators will discuss the intersection of tech, fitness, and health. You’ll hear all about emerging technologies within the health and fitness sector. Learn more about the event here.
