Boston ranks No. 2 among nation’s top STEM cities

Boston is one of the top cities for STEM jobs in 2019, according to a new list.

The Greater Boston metro region was ranked No. 2 overall on personal finance website WalletHub’s list of best places to find a job for science, technology, engineering and mathematics, or STEM, professionals. The ranking was determined based on 20 factors, including per-capita job openings for STEM graduates and annual median wage growth for STEM workers in the nation’s 100 largest metro areas.

Worcester ranked No. 15, just behind No. 14 Springfield and No. 13 Hartford, but ahead of No. 20 Raleigh, N.C.; and No. 35 Albany, N.Y.
