Boston moves up in KPMG's ranking of promising world tech hubs

In the next four years, Silicon Valley could lose its title as technology innovation center of the world. At least, that’s the belief of a majority of technology industry leaders who responded to an industry survey in which Boston is in a tie with Austin.

KPMG conducted the annual online tech industry survey, which pulled together the responses of 740 leaders, most of them C-level executives from 12 countries, between December 2018 and January 2019.

Almost 60 percent of survey respondents said that by 2023, the world’s technology innovation center will no longer be in Silicon Valley.
