The ground is beginning to thaw and the Red Sox are down in Florida, which means it must be March. While it is still pretty chilly outside and spring fever begins to takeover inside, here are some great events to pass the time.

Week 1 Thursday March 1

Where to Start? Strategic Marketing That Grows Your Revenue: This event includes a presentation by startup consultant, Maggie Curran. Curran will be discussing the same mistakes she sees at the different startups she works with and how to avoid them. This free event runs from 5:45 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. at Venture Cafe in Kendall Square, which is located at One Broadway on the 5th floor in Cambridge.

Week 2 Monday March 5

Perfect Pitch with Michael Skok: Harvard Innovation Labs hosts renowned venture capitalist, Michael Skok, from Underscore.vc to present about what venture capitalists are looking for in a pitch and the best way to present that information. This event takes place at the Harvard Innovation Lab, which is located at 125 Western Ave. in Allston. This event is free of charge and begins at 4:30 p.m.

Sustainability in Startups: The MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative is hosting a workshop on how to assess your company’s environmental impact, and how to plan to reduce that impact by using the measurement method. This free event takes place from 5:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Martin Trust Center for Entrepreneurship, which is located at 1 Amherst St. in Cambridge.

Founder Talk with Michael Troiano: This event includes a talk by venture capitalist, Michael Troiano, on funding for early stage startups. This event is hosted by Boston New Technology. Tickets for this event range from $15 – $99 and include dinner and drinks. This event begins at 6 p.m., and is located at the First Republic Bank, which is at 160 Federal St.
