PROGRAM DIRECTOR, MIT Innovation Initiative (MITii), to work on program management and design, with a specific focus on data and research; support the executive director (ED) in creating and implementing the MITii innovation strategy; communicate and present clearly and interface effectively with potential MITii partners; and assist with growing corporate partnerships and in philanthropic efforts. Responsibilities include researching, creating, and leading new MITii innovation programs; assisting with the development and execution of all MITii programs/initiatives; leading effort to gather and provide foundational data on innovation and entrepreneurship; providing research and data expertise to all MITii programs, goals, and objectives; managing MITii programs from conception through to completion or until fully operational; developing and managing relationships with key internal/external stakeholders; leading the development of strategic plans under guidance of the ED; applying and translating advanced data analysis techniques to MIT programs; developing new systems and processes for data collection in I&E; analyzing and interpreting data and results using statistical techniques; and improving data resource availability by reviewing data collection, storage, or retrieval process and identifying gaps. May also lead efforts such as fund-raising and programming.
REQUIRED: bachelor’s degree; advanced technical degree (preferably in data science, analytics or related field) or an MBA; at least five years of administration operations and/or project/program management experience and at least three designing research, gathering and analyzing data, and creating informative reports; knowledge of statistical programming and database query languages, predictive analysis techniques, and statistical methodology; and proficiency with data visualization and communication tools. Experience with data research and analysis, a background in research, and curriculum and instructional design experience preferred.
