The Wellness Innovation team is responsible for identifying new-to-Bose businesses that strengthen our portfolio of wellness offerings and ultimately drive new growth for Bose. You will research emerging technologies and market trends to drive recommendations for investments in new business categories. You will become the expert on various new technologies, new markets, competitive threats, and opportunities – developing compelling whitepapers and briefs as output. You are able to apply a combination of market data, consumer data, in-depth analysis and synthesis, and your own good instincts to make solid recommendations to stakeholders. You will work collaboratively with your colleagues in product marketing, market and consumer research, and engineering advanced development to incubate new business opportunities and prototype new product concepts. You will help to lead our efforts to discover and cultivate the intersection of business opportunity, new technologies and customer needs, actively driving what Bose does next. As part of the Wellness Innovation team, you will shape long-term strategy and integrate individual opportunities into a strong growth category for Bose. The New Business and Technology Strategist is a high-energy person that uses superb communications skills to work equally well with non-technical marketing/sales staff, engineers, and executives. In the past, you may have had experience in product management, strategy, consulting, market research, engineering, or software development. Ideally, you will have had experience in several of those disciplines. Key to your success is your ability to marry creativity (seeing new questions, and imagining new answers) with analytic skills (digging deeply to create clarity from ambiguity). Your best allies will be your abundant self-motivation, creativity, intellectual curiosity, capacity to juggle conflicting priorities, and ability to see clearly in the midst of uncertainty.
