For over 40 years, Volpe, the National Transportation Systems Center has helped the transportation community navigate its most challenging problems. Come and hear a series of short, live talks direct from Volpe team members working on emerging transportation issues such as maritime security, nonmotorized transportation, planning for climate change, or advancing the flow of aviation traffic. The talks will conclude with a tour of the Volpe Simulators (how to drive a train, fly a plane, navigate an airfield) showcasing how Volpe is advancing transportation innovation for the public good.

Presentations will include work on:

Maritime Safety and Security Information,

Data Visualization for Improving Truck Bus Safety,

Automation Technologies for Public Transportation, and

Human Factors in Transportation

Security Procedures: Adults must provide a valid photo identification (i.e. driver's license, passport) to enter the building. Students should bring a school identification card or driver’s license if available. Please minimize the number of bags, and backpacks to help expedite the security process.
