TECH PLANTER is a unique, international seed acceleration program for deep tech startups in the areas of hardware, robotics, electronics, digital manufacturing, biotech, healthcare, agtech, and foodtech. Tech Planter hosts 'Demo Day' pitch events around the world, and on Saturday, October 6, we're coming to Boston! The event will include pitches from twelve U.S. startups (see application below) as well as exhibits from five Japanese startups.
Why: This event is open to the public and a great opportunity for students to look for internships, entrepreneurs to engage in the Japanese startup scene, investors to source new deals, and corporations to identify new markets. Tea and snacks provided!
Who: This event is open to the public. Students, entrepreneurs, investors, and corporate representatives are encouraged to attend. Exhibiting Japanese Life Sciences startups include Metagen, Rhelixa, Cellfiber and more!

FOR STARTUPS: If you are a deep-tech, early-stage startup (Seed to Series A) with the desire to bridge into Japanese markets — be sure to apply here! We are looking for startups in the areas of hardware, robotics, electronics, digital manufacturing, biotech, healthcare, agtech, and foodtech. Twelve teams will be selected to pitch in front of local VCs, accelerators, and large Japanese corporations for a cash prize of US$2,000 and the opportunity to form strategic partnerships for manufacturing and distribution.
The winner(s) of TECH PLANTER Boston will receive:
• An invitation to pitch in front of directors from large Japanese corporations and VCs in Tokyo, Japan in March 2018. (Includes airfare and accommodations for two members).
• A Grand Prize of US$2,000
