Water Pitch Night THEME: Water innovation opportunities in developing countries

The lack of safe, affordable water services is a global crisis

  • 2.3 billion people in the world – one in three – do not have a decent toilet.
  • 844 million people in the world – one in ten – do not have clean water.
  • Around 289,000 children under five die every year from diarrhoeal diseases caused by poor water and sanitation. That's almost 800 children per day, or one child every two minutes.

Recent high-impact weather events in Texas, Puerto Rico and storms this week in the NorthEast US, indicate that the US infrastructure is also at risk. As such, opportunities exist in both developed and developing nations for off-grid, low-cost, reliable waste management and water treatment services.

Water Pitch Night-Boston on November 16th 2017 will highlight four innovative companies. Joins us to to listen to their solutions.

Keynote - Wole Soboyejo will share his experience developing ceramic filtration systems for African communities.
