Digging beneath the surface web, this presentation will explore the dark web – from hacking groups like Anonymous to what you need to know to protect your identity on the dark web. Presenters include UMass Lowell Professor Chris Wilkinson and Tim Howard, President and CEO of RMON Networks.

Chris Wilkinson is an adjunct professor at UMass Lowell in the Political Science Department. His expertise and research focus on political economy, food policy, politics of virtual identity and social media. He is published in policy and the economic impact of virtual identity in interactive media.

Tim Howard is the Founder, President and CEO of RMON Networks. Tim has over 28 years of experience in security, risk, privacy and compliance management. At RMON Networks, he is currently responsible for the security of hundreds of small businesses regionally and nationally. Tim enjoys the challenge of keeping pace with the rapid developments in technology, most recently the Dark Web.
