Technology has the power to solve some of the world’s toughest challenges – but only if it’s accessible to everyone. In this talk, Maggie will discuss how inclusion and accessibility must be primary objectives in the design and development of the emerging technologies that will shape our world if we hope to have a more just society and equal economic opportunity for all.

Join us in April for Design Museum Mornings at Hill Holliday for a light breakfast and great conversation about how to design for more inclusive tech.

Doors open at 8:30am; Presentation begins at 9:00am.

*If you already signed up for the April 5th event you have automatically been registered for the new date. If you no longer can attend please email: tyler@designmuseumfoundation.org

The Speaker

Maggie Foley, VP, Experience Design at Hill Holliday is a design leader by day; entrepreneur, non-profit board member, and adjunct professor by night.

She leads the UX practice at Hill Holliday, designing experiences for users and translating from insight and strategy into the things we can engage and interact with. With a user-centered approach and focus on inclusive design, she aligns business needs with the expectations of the customer – crafting touchpoints that are intuitive, accessible, and easy to use.

In her free time you can find Maggie at Backlash Beer Co, a craft brewery and taproom she founded in 2011. She’s also on the board of the World Ocean School, a nonprofit whose educational programs help underserved kids by challenging them academically, physically, and emotionally in hands-on programs aboard the historic ship, Roseway. She’s also been an adjunct professor at Simmons University and instructor at General Assembly.
