This event will outline the basic legal issues commonly encountered by startups in Massachusetts and across the country. The presentation by Michael Burke of Devine Millimetwill provide startup founders and entrepreneurs with an understanding of the potential legal implications that come along with raising funds and issuing securities, hiring employees, purchasing insurance, and entering into commercial leases.
This session will also address the importance of intellectual property protection with the USPTO and confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements in order to protect trade secrets. The event will begin with a presentation and will include a question and answer session at the conclusion.
